Susan Jenkins

Principle Broker, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Native American Group
Virginia Beach, VA

Before BHGRE:

Native American Group LLC was an unaffiliated company. We had been approached by two non-Realogy companies soliciting us to join their brands. After our first contact with a representative from BHGRE, we knew this brand would be perfect for us.

Successes since joining BHGRE:

When we joined the brand in September, 2013, we had 13 agents and had a gross commission income of 1.1 million dollars. In three years, our agent count has grown to 41 agents and our GCI in 2016 was 2.8 million dollars. BHGRE has opened so many opportunities for us. The systems, procedures and guidance from corporate have been amazing. Our future is very bright and we attribute BHGRE as providing us with an excellent platform to grow and continue to grow and excel as we increase our market share.

BHGRE Native American Group specializes in relocation being a Cartus Principal Broker, foreclosed properties representing HUD, Freddie Mac, Secretary of Veterans Affairs along with numerous private banks, and representing the private sector with both sellers and buyers.

BHGRE Experience

From day one, BHGRE has been such a valuable resource to our growth and success. There was never any doubt that corporate was on our side and wanted to be a valuable partner with us. At first, we were concerned about losing control of our business. Those fears were completely unfounded. Corporate BHGRE made it clear that we were all on the same side. The feeling was, and still is, that it is a family. We are often asked in surveys, knowing what we know now, would we do it all over again and become a franchisee? The answer is a resounding “YES!” We love the BHGRE family and look forward to many years of success together.

Greg Fox

Broker/Owner, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Alliance
Wichita, KS

Background: Previously affiliated with a smaller brand for 10 years.

Achievements since joining BHGRE: Previously, our average sale was 20% below the market average, we’re now 5% above market average. We were #8 volume in the market, now #5.

Specialties: I’m known in this market as the “Techy Broker”, and 2 term MLS president. Part of the attraction to BHGRE is the integration of programs that I couldn’t achieve on my own. Not everything I use is in BHGRE, but the majority is. Zap is a program that is coming along, and will soon be a powerful asset.

Christian Barnes

President, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Kansas City Homes
Overland Park, KS

Before BHGRE: Before becoming an affiliate of Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate, we were affiliated with another brand.

Successes since joining BHGRE: We are now the #2 ranked real estate company in the Kansas City market. After joining BHGRE, we grew in size from 419 agents to 447 agents, and added a new office bringing our total number of offices to eight.

Specializations: We are a high end real estate company specializing in new homes, resale and relocation. Our relocation department earned the CARTUS Platinum Award in 2016.

Our offices and agents have truly embraced the lifestyle brand that Better Homes and Gardens is known for and is reinforced each time we take management trips up to Des Moines, IA, home of Meredith Publishing, who produces the Better Homes & Gardens magazine.

Chris Masiello

President/CEO, Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate The Masiello Group
Bedford, NH

Formerly – were you an unaffiliated company, did you switch from another brand, or were you just starting out?

We started as an independent agency more than 52 years ago. We became one of the first brokers to partner with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate.

What have you achieved? – Did you grow in agent size, open more offices, move into more states etc.?

Our agency has grown from tremendously in the past year. We now have 34 offices (and counting!) with more than 600 active agents throughout Northern New England.

What you specialize in – Are you or your company “experts” in a certain area of RE?

We specialize in all matters concerning the buying and selling of real estate, both residential and commercial. Our clients benefit from the family of services we offer with industry partners in mortgage, title, insurance and home warranty.

Anything else you feel is noteworthy, especially if you can connect it to your partnership with BHGRE?

We are the number one real estate agency in Northern New England. Clients gravitate toward the Better Homes and Gardens name, which has given us additional exposure and a preferred position in the marketplace. Our firm’s long legacy of providing quality experiences is underscored by the BH&G household name, which consumers have known and trusted for generations.
